About Veg Action
Veg Action celebrates local, seasonal plant based eating and the development of PLANET LOVING, healthy food systems.
We love delicious food, great company and knowing that we are improving our health and that of the planet with every delicious bite! We love growing our own food and sharing it. We welcome people of all dietary preferences and promote an inclusive and supportive community. We’re focused on progress rather than perfection!
There are so many good reasons to eat more veg, more often. Not only is it better for the planet, plant based and plant rich food has positive impacts for our health and that of animals that share our earth.
Our group’s vision is connection, kindness, sustainability, health and wellbeing through plant-based eating.
We are driving an inclusive community movement in the Macedon Ranges that encourages and empowers individuals towards healthy and sustainable plant-based eating.

As the last autumn leaves cling on to the branches, the Autumn Festival has wrapped up, and with it, The Edgy Veg Awards. It was an exciting month for the `13 cafes involved and for hungry customers who hit the trail to sample some, or all, of the 19 plant-based dishes entered in the competition. Our new website, Get to Know Your Grower is an interactive site that allows you to easily search growers, producers, farmgates, cafes and restaurants to help you find and include more veg into your diet.
