Woodend Community Bags
A project of Waste Action Group
Project contact: Lindsay Cumming woodendbags@mrsg.org.au
Woodend Community Bags are taking the town by storm in a positive step toward making Woodend plastic bag free.
Volunteers from all walks of life are getting together at the Woodend Neighbourhood House to make reusable Woodend Community Bags- Boomerang Bags from recycled materials.
There are many ways to be involved and sewing skills aren’t necessary!
Over a cuppa, cake, a chat and a giggle, you can learn how to sew, cut, pin, bundle, and iron... and make some lovely friends.
Meeting on Thursday Mornings from 9.00am-12.00pm in the Undercroft of the Woodend Neighbourhood House. All welcome!
Join us at the Woodend Community Farmers Market, held on the first Saturday of each month! Featuring over 90 stallholders, our vibrant, community-run VFMA-accredited market is the largest genuine farmers market in the region. Discover a wide variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, baked goods, dairy, and specialty products.
Held on the first Saturday of every month, we also welcome local community groups, making it a lively hub for connection and local produce.
