This March MRSG Sustainable Homes Action Group is presenting the “Project Showcase”, an exhibition of projects Macedon Ranges householders have undertaken to make their homes more thermally comfortable, cheaper to run and more energy-efficient, and of work-from-home spaces that are reducing the need to commute.

We hope the exhibition will prompt “aha!” moments for others, inspiring everyone to try out some new ideas relevant to their own homes and within range of their skills and resources.

We’re calling for contributions from across the Macedon Ranges: posters illustrating projects ranging from simple “hacks”, to habit changes, to small scale renovations. We’ll be displaying them throughout March in a range of venues, in plenty of time to help everyone “warm up” their homes for winter.

Do you have a project you're proud to share?

Something that made your home more comfortable or cheaper to run or more environmentally friendly?

Perhaps an inspirational work from home space, cutting your carbon emissions along with your commute time?

Create a poster for the Showcase and help others progress their quests for sutainable living.

  • Create a poster using whatever means you like (computer, hand-drawn and -lettered, collage, …)

  • Prepare a hard copy printed in colour at A3 size (Updated 14 Feb 2023, previously A2 was requested)

  • Submit an electronic copy (if the poster’s created by hand, a digital photo)

    by Monday 20th February

Some example posters are provided above (to look at any poster in detail, right click on it and select “open in new tab”). It’s important to:

  • give your project a title

  • describe the nature of the project and why you did it

  • explain briefly how you did it, including any cost info if you can

  • tell us about the results. If the project has got you thinking about next steps, tell us what they are

Think you can do this? Sign up using the form below. (Let us know to expect your poster, and we’ll help you find a printer when the time comes).

Templates are available to help you format your poster like the examples shown above. Click on the buttons below the form. (Note: use of the templates is optional)

I’d love to show what my household’s been working on! Count me in!
