Electrify 3442 News: Community Survey and Callout for Case Study Volunteers

The “6 things” targeted for home electrification (Source: Rewiring Australia)

Electrify 3442 exists to help local households transition to all electric, powered by solar energy.

Community Survey

In February we launched a Community Survey to help us understand what will help our community electrify their homes. The survey will run until Easter and is accessible online at mrsg.org.au/electrify3442.

We want to hear from everyone, no matter where on the electrification pathway your household may be. Encourage your family, friends and neighbours to participate. The results of the survey will inform the tailored support we will provide later in the year.  We look forward to sharing the results at a community forum in Woodend on Sunday 21st April.

The Community Survey will run until Easter.  We look forward to your input!

Case Studies

3442-based MRSG members: would you be willing to share your household electrification story?

We’re on the lookout for households at various stages of electrification – from initial planning to those with all the “6 things” (solar, batteries, electric heating, hot water, cooking and transport) and happy to share their stories on our website. We know that hearing from real people can be very persuasive, especially where those people are known to the audience. You can help influence others to get started or to make progress.

What do you know now that you wish you’d known when you started out? What’s worked out well for you? What would you do differently? We’ll chat with you and write up your story for the website (giving you full right of review, of course!). Get in touch with us, let us know what you’ve got and when it’s convenient for us to make contact – either by email (to olivia.hedge@mrsg.org.au) or in person at the Woodend Community Farmers Market in March.

Big thanks from the Electrify 3442 team: Olivia, Stephen, Justin, Sue and Ralf
