Edgy Veg Award Winners Unveiled

With an impressive total of 750+ votes, the Edgy Veg Awards garnered tremendous engagement and enthusiasm from the community. The high number of votes reflects the growing popularity and significance of plant-based cuisine.
In the Cafes and Pubs category, the Best Plant Based Dish award goes to The Corner Boutique Coffee Bar. Their remarkable creation, "Maghmour," captured the hearts and taste buds of diners with its incredible flavors and innovative approach to plant-based cuisine. "Maghmour" received glowing reviews from voters, with comments such as "Very tasty... absolutely stunning, full of flavors... and would love to try it hot too 👍🏼" and "A highly recommended dish, full of flavor. The eggplant was the highlight, quite delicate yet robust to taste, having absorbed a balance of the delicate spices quite well." In the Restaurant category, the dishes were so delicious, that voters were faced with a difficult decision, resulting in two outstanding winners. Sizzler Restobar's Saag Methis Mushroom and Flying Pigeon's Yuxiang Eggplant both claimed the spotlight with their exceptional plant-based dishes. Sizzler Restobar impressed with a very high score and rave reviews, while Flying Pigeon's innovative and bold approach to plant-based cuisine left a lasting impression. The voters raved about these dishes, stating, "An explosion of flavours... truly remarkable!" and "Innovative, bold, and utterly delicious!" Congratulations to both Sizzler Restobar and Flying Pigeon for their well-deserved recognition!
In addition to the individual dish awards, the organisers are delighted to announce that Social Foundry in Kyneton has been crowned the winner of the coveted Most Veg Friendly Eatery Award. Social Foundry's commitment to providing exceptional plant-based options and creating a welcoming environment for plant-based food lovers truly sets them apart.
