MRSG is looking for a community leader to help steer our MRSG Waste Action Group
Are you passionate about creating change and inspiring others to make a difference? Do you have good communication and leadership skills with the ability to organise a team towards a common goal? If so, Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group is looking for a Waste Action Group Leader to join our team! After a wonderful stint with Jos Moore at the helm, she is keen to step back from the leadership role and return to being a member of the group to focus her efforts on activities like recycling stations, outreach, and helping on the Wash Against Waste trailer. Thank you so much, Jos and all the best with your next exciting phase of helping the environment.
As the Waste Action Group Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated and passionate volunteers towards achieving its vision “To Reduce Waste and Litter. We want a cleaner, less wasteful world.” You will work closely with other MRSG Action Group Leaders to develop and implement strategies that will help to drive MRSG’s Purpose.
To be successful in this role, you will be a natural communicator and have the ability to connect with others. You will love the challenge of organising volunteers and have experience managing projects or teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the world and in Macedon Ranges, and be part of a passionate and dedicated team. You will have the support of the MRSG Committee and other Action Group Leaders. Behaviour and attitude change through education on waste streams, resource recovery and littering
Help connect the community to recycling opportunities in the region and reduce flow to waste to landfill
Carry out targeted actions to clean-up waste and litter
Join the Waste Action Group (WAG) on waste@mrsg.org.au in reducing waste and litter in the Macedon Ranges.

The Wash against Waste trailer is a partnership between the Macedon Ranges Shire Council and MRSG for the purpose of reducing waste at the various events and festivals in the Macedon Ranges. We are looking for volunteers to help out with the Wash against Waste trailer at some of these events.
