Old toys for recycling being collected at Big W Bendigo (and Echuca)

Terracycle has announced a new collection program for the recycling of old toys at participating Big W stores. Just two Victorian stores are participating - Bendigo and Echuca. So if you’re planning to visit either of those towns in the next while, perhaps clean out the toybox before you go!

Accepted: 

• All brands of plastic toys

• All brands of metal toys

• All brands of electronic toys with batteries removed

• All brands of plush toys

Not Accepted:

• Books

• Board games

• Wooden toys

• Play doh, paint and slime

• Pens (can be recycled at Woodend Library or Malmsbury Farmers Market), pencils, crayons or paint brushes

• Oversized toys such as bikes, scooters, skateboards or sports toys such as soccer goals
