NEW - Electrify Macedon Ranges
Electrify 3442 is a community-based project of the Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group and is an offshoot of Saul Griffiths’ Rewiring Australia. Its vision is to empower homes and business to move away from fossil fuel energy to electric energy. This will enable people to use more efficient, cleaner, healthier, quieter and cheaper energy to drive their activities. Add rooftop solar with a battery and all these gains can be accompanied by a very low power bill!
The Electrify 3442 project has run for just over 18 months and in that time have surveyed the community, run a public forum, delivered 5 information workshops on electrification and had two EV Expos as well as having operated many farmers market stalls to inform people interested in lowering their bills, electrification and renewables.
This project is now expanding its horizons to become Electrify Macedon Ranges, and we are now seeking interest from volunteers who want to come aboard to help create a better world by making Macedon Ranges an example for others to follow. Woodend and surrounds have been serviced by energetic volunteers, we now seek participation from Gisborne, Malmsbury, Kyneton, Lancefield, Romsey, Macedon, Riddells Creek and any other smaller community that want to help transform the way that we power our lives whilst saving money.
You are welcome to join the core working group to help drive the project,
OR you can participate by being a local volunteer organising things on the ground in your community,
OR you can just be kept in the loop about happenings in your town.
To register your interest complete this Expression of Interest Form or if you’d like to talk this through call Stephen Pepper on 0415 821 481
