The Under Cover - Homelessness in the Macedon Ranges event on August 8th at Kyneton Town Hall was an enormous success. As part of Homelessness week in Australia, 250 local residents filled the auditorium to watch the Australian documentary Under Cover and the panel discussion.
As our world's population continues to grow, it is becoming increasingly important to explore sustainable food sources. One of the most promising solutions to this challenge is the consumption of vegetable protein.

Woodend, in our very own Macedon Ranges was recently dubbed the most liveable regional town in Victoria and we couldn’t be prouder! Among the criteria for the gong, according to an article published in the Sunday Herald Sun, were great transport links, services and job opportunities along with good schools, parks and gardens and fine food.
Macedon Ranges residents will receive complimentary advice on PV solar systems and energy efficiency, as well as an opportunity to purchase solar and battery storage systems through carefully selected and vetted suppliers. This is thanks to a new partnership between Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group (MRSG) and the Australian Energy Foundation.
The Virtual Sustainable Living Festival is now a (mini) reality! and will be at the March Woodend Farmers Market on the Village Green to introduce you to some small steps that we can all take to help us create a sustainable future.

Given the unprecidented times with Covid restrictions we have come up with some exciting and creative changes for the 2020 festival.
Want to contribute something positive really makes a difference? Want to be involved in a friendly community of people who also share the desire to make the Macedon Ranges a more sustainable place to live? Do you have some spare time and have organisational and planning skills and experience that you want to put to good use? If so, there are presently three openings, one of which may be a perfect fit for you.
The Wash against Waste trailer is a partnership between the Macedon Ranges Shire Council and MRSG for the purpose of reducing waste at the various events and festivals in the Macedon Ranges. We are looking for volunteers to help out with the Wash against Waste trailer at some of these events.
