Macedon Ranges SLF 2020 New Format

For the past 10 years, the Macedon Ranges Sustainable Living Festival has been a vibrant showcase of the region's premier environmental programs, projects, products and services.

Given the unprecidented times with Covid restrictions we have come up with some exciting and creative changes for the 2020 festival. In order to ensure social distancing, the festival will now offer NOT ONLY festival stalls and events for the community over four whole months, from September all the way to  December, at the regions' farmers' markets, libraries, and neighbourhood houses…

BUT ALSO  a Virtual Festival where exhibitors will bring us all sorts of good things online – from podcasts, to videos, and interactive information sessions; they will be showing and telling all about their sustainability products and initiatives.

Throughout September to December a bunch of  exhibits and events will address many highly topical sustainability topics, such as: 

·  Making your home more comfortable and energy efficient

·  Getting around while reducing use of fossil fuels

·  Eating more healthily and planting for the future

·  Wearing great clothes while reducing waste 

·  Practicing the art of transformative community conversations about climate change

The Virtual Festival will be an all-year-round continuously expanding  practical LOCAL online resource, for all who will sleep better at night knowing that they are on the right track to reducing their personal carbon footprint and helping lower the carbon footprint for the whole Macedon Ranges region.

As usual the exhibitors showcasing at the SLF will be a mix of excellent businesses providing products and services that support sustainable living and our own fantastic MRSG Action Groups.  There will be great opportunities for all exhibitors to spread the word about their work far and wide.
