The Macedon Ranges Shire Council have just published A bushwalkers’ guide to the Flora of the Macedon Ranges which can be download for free from https://macedonrangesshirecouncil.cmail19.com/t/t-l-bykliyd-wdlhjkdl-t/
This booklet is a guide to native flora local to the Macedon Ranges. It is intended for beginners who are new to native plants and lists the 100 most common species the bushwalker is likely to encounter. In addition to a general description of each plant the guide includes notes about its habitat, uses by indigenous people, flowering times, culinary uses, and importance for birds, insects, and mammals. The guide also gives insight into which local plants are suitable for native garden settings at home.
