Welcome to Jenny Holliday AM - Action Group Liaison

MRSG Committee is delighted to appoint Jenny Holliday as Action Group Liaison. Her tasks will involve supporting the leaders of MRSG’s 12 action groups, encouraging the sharing of knowledge and promoting cooperation between the groups in their activities and projects. Jenny comes to MRSG with a wealth of experience and expertise in the not-for-profit sector. We only have room here to give some snapshots. Jenny was the CEO of People and Parks Foundation (https://peopleandparks.org/) and continues in her role as Co-Director of Nonprofit Training (https://nonprofittraining.com.au ) which works with a broad range of organisations including women’s refuges, domestic violence groups, Aboriginal community controlled groups, agricultural sector, Landcare groups etc. Jenny also has experiences as director at Windarring, Softball Victoria & Australia, and Outdoor Education Boards. Jenny was an olympic bronze medallist in 1996 and in 2016 was awarded Member of the Order of Australia for her services to sport at local and international level and inducted in the Softball Australia Hall of Fame in 2002.

My everyday work is with charities and not-for-profits that have a local impact and I see what a difference they make to their communities. I’m excited to be joining MRSG for this reason as well as being a big believer in the collective impact model of operating that MRSG presents to the Action Groups. It’s innovative, reduces the workload on volunteers and engages the community in activities they jump out of bed in the morning to support.

Now is an important time in our history to take action. I am encouraged by the work MRSG is undertaking to grow our community’s hope for the future and demonstrate how we can all make a difference by acting locally.
