Terracycle Collection Hubs are Coming Back!

Thank you everyone for your patience while our Terracycle Collection Trolleys were in hibernation during lockdown.

As the Library and Woodend Neighbourhood House slowly re-open, you will be able to start dropping off items to our trolleys again.

We ask you to please follow these guidelines:

  • Be mindful that the location of our trolleys means that strict COVID protocols are in place and you may not be able to enter the buildings on arrival. Please wait patiently if you experience delayed entry.

  • Opening hours and access at both the Woodend Neighbourhood House and Woodend Library have changed: please check social media or contact ahead of visiting.

  • Please do not drop off large quantities of used coffee pods. Our buckets only hold 20 litres and they can fill up quickly. If you have been saving pods over the lockdown, thank you! Contact us and we will arrange to collect the backlog of pods from you.

  • Please clean your hands immediately after using our trolleys. There will be sanitiser available, and you can also wash your hands using facilities at the Library and Neighbourhood House.

  • Please refrain from opening buckets that you are not using. We are trying to minimize touching of surfaces.

There will be NO WASTE STALL at the Woodend Farmers’ Market for the time being. Although we love having a chat about waste, we feel that the priority at this time should be given to food vendors, and social distancing remains a key to keeping COVID under control. The Market Manager and her team have worked incredibly hard over the lockdown to keep the market going, and we fully support the measures they have put in place.

If you have a question about waste and recycling, please contact us via email: waste@mrsg.org.au or via our Facebook Page and Group: Facebook/MRSG Waste Action or Facebook/WasteActionWoodend.
