Share tomato inspired dishes, swap your excess summer veg, learn how to make tomato sauce & meet new and old friends in the gorgeous permaculture garden.
Tomato season is almost over, lets celebrate by sharing our favourite vegetarian/ plant-based tomato dishes!
We'll kick start the event at 11:30 with a crop swap for the gardeners. If you have any excess Autumn produce, trade with others for veg, seedlings or flowers. If you are not a gardener, a gold coin donation will get you what you are after.
At 12, we'll start lunch. Bring your favourite tomato dish to share (vego/vegan). Print out the recipe to go next to the dish so others can recreate it at home. Make sure you mark on the recipe if there are any allergens (e.g. nuts, diary, soy).
Bring a picnic rug to set up under the trees or grab a seat at our tables. Eat your fill, talk tomato recipes, eating more veg, delicious food, gardening and living through 2020 in the Ranges and surrounds. Spend time with new and old friends.
Catch Sam from the School of Domestic Goddessery’s kasundi demo (the Most delicious tomato sauce EVER) making demo at 1:00pm.
Kids are welcome to play in our games area.
The venue is wheelchair accessible. Please contact group leader Claire for any questions regarding dietary or accessibility needs. Everyone is welcome.
