Getting Off Gas - transitioning to an all-electric home

  1. Gas is a non-renewable source of energy: a finite resource.

  2. Gas prices are increasing, and forecasts indicate that the rate of increase will be greater in future.

  3. Our electricity supply is getting “greener”, thanks to the high uptake of rooftop solar and exports to the grid.

  4. Feed-in tariffs for solar to the grid (from rooftop panels) are decreasing.

Think about going gas-free in your new build, or transitioning your existing home to all-electric.

Moonee Valley City Council is hosting a webinar presented by Jeremy Spencer of Positive Footprints that will help you learn more about how and when to transition away from gas.

Learn more about how and when to transition away from gas, tips on creating an efficient all-electric home and the benefits environmentally and economically.

You’ll also hear about various technologies on different areas of houses that commonly require transitioning (including space heating, water heating and cooking), as well as about research conducted on performance and efficiency of different solar panels and other household appliances.

The webinar is free (booking required)
