About Renewable Energy Action Group
Action Group Leader: Henry Laas renewenergy@mrsg.org.au
Our goal is to make the Macedon Ranges carbon neutral by 2030, by leading, supporting and investing in local energy efficiency, generation and offset projects in partnership with community, government and industry.
To do this, we work across different areas.
We work is exploring a number of solar-based renewable energy projects with community organisations, the council, and business. This builds on the previous project assistance to Woodend Primary School, Woodend Community House, Woodend Cricket Club and the up and running solar project at the Black Forest Timber Mill.
A program called Cool Changes being managed by the MRSC involve the community to find and start sustainability projects in all areas of energy, humans, land, water, ecosystems and much more. To read the latest action plan report, please click me!
