Kyneton's Autumn Equinox Picnic
Kyneton Backyard Growers will be holding their Autumn equinox community picnic on Sunday 23 March, 12-3pm, at the Kyneton Mechanic Institute Reserve. Bring your own picnic blanket and food to share, meet some other locals and listen to the sweet tunes of Kyneton's very own Kyneton Country Revue. This picnic also coincides with their 1 year celebration of gathering local growers and providing free fresh fruit and vegetables to the residents of Kyneton and over the last 356 days, they have only missed 1 Sunday! Kyneton Backyard Growers hold a fresh fruit and veg stall at the Kyneton Lion's Kiosk every Sunday between 10am-12pm. All the locally grown produce is free of charge - though you might like to make a donation so the volunteers can have a morning cuppa. Any left over produce either goes to the Kyneton Community Lunch or the Kyneton Food Bank. The group is always on the lookout for local growers to help add produce to their table, or people wanting to setup and pack up the stall, and always welcome of people who need access to healthy fresh fruit and veg. Everyone is welcome to the Autumn equinox picnic and bring your friends, lunch, and good cheer.
