Malmsbury Rekindles the Coronavirus Community Support Group
Back in early 2020, Sustainable Malmsbury set up a local support group for people in the community who may be affected by COVID-19. Fortunately, there has been very little need since then due to the lack of local cases. However COVID-19 has arrived in the Macedon Ranges and due to the Omicron strain local families are being impacted as cases, close contacts or vulnerable people who need to avoid populated areas for a while. We are rekindling our support group, made up of local volunteers and can help with:
Picking up and delivering groceries, chemist items, pet/ livestock feed, supplies to keep you or the kids busy or anything else you need
Helping with pets or livestock
Cooking a home-cooked meal
Phoning to check in during a period of illness or isolation
Connection to local services for food relief or any ongoing help that is needed
Please click here to contact us via email for support. All requests are confidential and personal details will not be shared with our volunteers unless needed (ie address for dropping off groceries, etc) and only with the volunteer who will be helping out. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we would love to make sure that our little community stays connected and supported during this tricky time.
If you would like to help out please join our Community Support Volunteers Facebook group or if you don't use Facebook, please email us.
