474 Visits to Sustainable Homes in and around the Macedon Ranges on Sustainable House Day

Sunday September 16, 2018 started out chilly (there was still snow on the ground in Trentham), but that didn’t deter visitors to the four Sustainable Homes open in and around the Macedon Ranges for Sustainable House Day. By 4pm, 474 visits had been recorded across the four properties.

Thanks to:

  • David and Yvonne, John and Kym, Clare and Win, Ralf and Cathy for opening their homes

  • The professionals, family and friends who supported homeowners directly with the opens, including Christine Mackintosh, Keith Altmann, Stuart Lee, Talina Edwards and Mia

  • MRSG members who volunteered on the day: Al Reid, Andrew Arch, Bruce Hedge, David Gormley-O’Brien, Drew Ramselaar, Ian Rennie, Jon Morgan, Patrick Hodgson, Ray Paul, Ruth Hodgson and Sue Barker

  • Those who supported volunteers and the Action Group team, enabling their participation, spouses, partners, families and friends, MRSG colleagues

  • Everyone who helped with promotion in the lead up to SHD

  • MRSC for support via Felicity Houghton, and for publicity

  • The ATA for support materials and providing the “umbrella event”

  • … and, of course, our 474 visitors for their interest.

To have helped inspire and equip 474 people to make their homes more comfortable, cheaper to run and better for the planet is a great achievement. Well done everyone!
