The ‘missing piece’ to making your sustainability projects more successful

Do you feel like you are having the same conversation over and over again explaining why addressing climate change was important, why energy efficiency was a good idea, or why others should think about recycling or modern slavery?

You probably spend a lot of time trying to convince others that sustainability is something they should support. You take pains to make sure your argument is air-tight. Your reasoning and evidence is solid. But instead of coming around to your point of view, people push back, offering a variety of frustrating excuses. “Our stakeholders don’t care about ‘going green”, “I’ve tried that before and it didn’t work”, “we don’t have the funds for it this year”, or “our customers won’t be willing to pay for this stuff”.

In the end, you’re faced with the same stalemate you had at the beginning, you feel constantly frustrated and thinking to yourself – “why don’t they get it?”

In this presentation our guest speaker James McGregor is going to be talking about the ‘missing piece’ to making sustainability projects more successful, the ability to influence others to change.  In this presentation James will explore some of the fascinating behavioural research insights associated with getting others engaged in sustainability.  By the end of the presentation you will gain practical and actionable knowledge to get more buy-in for your sustainability initiatives.
