Veg Action, in partnership with Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health have won a Vic Health grant to support VCAL students in Kyneton High to get to know their local growers.

For their short term science project, a small group of year 8 students chose the topic of honeybee biosecurity in Australia, particularly with respect to the varroa mite.

Many MRSG members and their families and friends travelled down to Melbourne by train or bus in order to support students in their protest against the Australian Government’s lack of action regarding the crisis of Climate Change.

Council is setting up a new program, Cool Changes, to facilitate the development of local climate change action plans across the shire.
