With the cost-of-living skyrocketing, and no signs of inflation slowing down, the number of people struggling to afford nutritious food is on the increase.
Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group’s Veg Action Group, in partnership with the Woodend Neighbourhood House, have launched “Soulful Suppers” on Thursdays between 5 – 7pm in the Undercroft of the Neighbourhood House (enter via the gates next to the Skate Park, off Margery Crescent).
Each week, the menu will change and include delicious dishes such as a hearty minestrone soup, and a golden pumpkin soup.
Everyone is welcome to come and be cooked for in a warm and inviting space. And bring your kids too, they can enjoy the soup and complete a colouring in.
Whilst "Soulful Suppers" is running, the Woodend Neighbourhood House Foodbank will be open in the same space for people to access pantry staples and personal hygiene supplies.
There is absolutely no cost to attend "Soulful Suppers", though those able to make a donation are welcome to do so, to help cover the cost of ingredients.
