MRSG’s Transport Action Group is exploring ways to empower and encourage children to ride to school in Woodend. This includes lobbying and working with the Macedon Ranges Shire Council to build the infrastructure (bike paths, road crossings etc) to ensure the safety of children as they ride to school. On Tuesday March 10th Transport Action Group is meeting at Woodend Neighbourhood House 7.30-8.30pm and is inviting any member of the community who wish to be part of this project.
This meeting coincides with the National Ride2School Day on Freaky Friday 13 March 2020. See https://www.bicyclenetwork.com.au/rides-and-events/ride2school/ It would be good to participate in this event locally too.
Please let us know on transport@mrsg.org.au if you intend to attend on Tuesday night so we can get an idea of numbers.
