The Woodend Community Farmers' Market (WCFM) is a lively local event that is well supported by the local community. The WCFM currently hosts 50 regular stallholders, from within the Macedon Ranges and the wider region. The market is fully accredited by the Victorian Farmers Market Association (VFMA), meaning that customers can have confidence in the authenticity of the producers within the market, and have the opportunity to build direct relationships with the people who grew or made the produce on offer.
There is a wide selection of locally grown fresh food and specialty goods available, along with live music, free face painting, children's story time, hot food and coffee. The WCFM action group aims to build on the current success of the project so that the market continues to serve the local community of producers and patrons, strengthen our local food system, and attract further visitors from our town and region.
The Woodend market was established in 2011, and is now one of four in the Macedon Ranges.
