For a second consecutive year, the MRSG Sustainable House Day Action Group worked to support the national Sustainable House Day (SHD) event run by the Alternative Technology Association (ATA).
The Group put out expressions of interest to interested homeowners and three homeowners within the Woodend township agreed to open their sustainable homes to the public on the 17th of September this year. This was a great effort given around 200 homes took part across Australia.
The SHD action group acted as a coordinating body between the homeowners and the ATA, assisting homeowners with information and entering the home details on the ATA website, together with coordinating local publicity.
The day was very successful with more than 350 visits in total to all three homes. A big thank you to each of the homeowners!
